A little about myself.
I'm a PhD-trained journalist and writer covering the life sciences, biomedicine, science policy, and the intersections of science and society.
My stories have appeared in publications including Nature, Science, Scientific American, Spectrum News, and PBS's NOVA Next. I'm also a regular contributor to MicrobiomePost.com, where I write about the microbes that live in our bodies.
In my previous life, I studied how bacteria grow and how embryos get their shape. Along the way, I got a PhD in biology.
